Seems like there is a letter with chase preapproved offer that sends you to sendmethecard.com

I did allied one time using my reservation number (happen to have it handy), however these offers are same offers what you can find at sites like creditcardmix.com where you are not limit to just one offer.

I got the offer from Chase for Chase platinum card. 0% APR for 12 months...not sure why do you need a reservation number if you can get this offer without any number here at creditcardmix.com

i think you don't need them letters, but banks do. i've read about it somewhere. if you come with an invite letter then they can take a shortcut on processing your request, banks save money this way.
