HI
I' ve had some troubles with online usage of my credit card. And I want to share some safety tips.
The main rule - always use credit cards only at secured payment sites.
Be very careful to whom you give your credit card.
Don't give out your account number over the phone unless you initiate the call and you know the company is reputable.
Never give your credit card info out when you receive a phone call. (For example, if you're told there has been a 'computer problem' and the caller needs you to verify information.) Legitimate companies don't call you to ask for a credit card number over the phone.
Stay on the safe side! |

I completely agree. However, you should not only be cautious when ordering something via the internet with your credit card,
but also when it comes to applying for a credit card online.
There is so much internet fraud going on today that you should always check the site you are on.
I still find it fascinating that so many people don't even think of fraud when they buy stuff online! |

Well, internet marketing is growing quick, fast, and speedy. Be more positive about it. Internet shopping saves your time and it is not so dangerous as it was couple years ago.
Internet business is highly comperitive, as a result web sites getting better quality including protection features.
i think it is more risky to buy staff through phone using your credit card because you never know who is on other side of wire! |

| Always look for [link] the domain name before submit your credit card information online. This means you are on a secured site. Also, I think that we are few years short before internet purchases will outrun regular shopping, so we just need to be more careful with our info. |

Discover, Citibank and Bank of America all offer you the ability to get a virtual credit card number for online shopping. The issuer will give you a new credit card number (tied your account) that you can use at only one retailer and you can even set the limit most of the time. This way if the retailer's site gets compromised, the virtual card number can only be used still on that retailer's site. You aren't responsible for unauthorized charges and you're protected the same as with your regular account number.
Check out your issuer's site for more details. _________________ [new unverified link] |
