Hi,
I am looking for a good cash back international credit card. International in the sense that the bank dosn't charge me extra for using my credit card in Europe and South America.

I did see a good cash back cards, but they charged close to 3% extra on international transactions and that makes meanless the purpose.

Any suggestions ?

I don't know about shredding, but they will charge you for all transactions. I don't think it's 3% . Well, may be it is. The charges were scattered all over my statements I can't really say how much they got off me in total. However they have limits on the amount you can withdraw from ATMs. I didn't find too many places were you could pay with a credit card in Eastern Europe, so get yourself a good card with cash advances Smile And make it Visa! Visa is widely accepted down there.

Thank you for you advice RamondV.
I expected that here is a no really good deal with International credit cards, but Visa cash advance credit card is the most appropriate choise.

Thanks again.

Well, I think RamondV is right!
I think it is not a good idea to use your credit card overseas, especially for cash withdraws from ATMs.
It would be better fro you to use your debit cards and cash. First it wopuld be cheaper for you, you will avoid extra troubles, and finally you will not mess up with your credit card!

Take care.

Hey guys,

Here is my advise, when planning a trip buy some AMEX travelers checks. This way you protect yourself if someone steal your money. Also, Visa credit card will most likely to charge you anywhere from 1.8% to 3% if used overseas. I think it's not that bad that you can actually use your card everywhere you go.

Do you fly often on trips? Do you find yourself spending more on flights then anything else in your life?
If so, you might be surprised to learn that the Asiana Visa Platinum Plus Card can help you in that area of your life. With this credit card, you can earn miles and great discounts that can help you save money on flights you take for personal or business reasons.
But it does not have 0% intro and has annual fee, also regular APR is pretty high too.
There are better choices among this type credit cards, like Blue Sky from American Express.
