Hi,
For now i have 3 credit cards. All of them have fixed payment due dates. Yesterday I've checked my account information for Bank of america Platinum card and noticed that my due date have been changed, instead of 25th I needed to pay on 24th.
Why it is so?
I'm afraid that a rate increase will occur, even though I have been paying on time.
Question What should i do now, and how I can I prevent this situation in future?

Hi MoBi,
I think they moved your due date because of additional day in this February. Just guess!
Usually credit company have a little window of time maybe a couple to seven days in which they do not hit you with any penalties. That is what I have found but you will have to check with your card company.
They will understand and will take off the late charge, but you have to tell them what happened--This is your first offense. Now you know that they do this and will be sure to check you due date each time.

take care

Lately credit companies have become stricter when it comes to penalties for missed payments. However, in most cases if you have a good payment history with your creditor they will drop charges if you miss your payment only once. Just give them a call and I’m pretty sure you will be able to negotiate your situation with them.

Sad Unfortunatelly, I was through credit card late payments. Last time I nissed my Bank of America credit card payment my penalty was $40 late payment fee and they raise my monthly minimum payment from $18 to $50 Crying or Very sad
I was lucky that they did not report me to collection, because I missed the first time with them and was only one day late!
My advice: be aware of late payment with credit cards!

Unfortunatelly, you are not the only one who get through late payments isuue.
I would like to remind you that checking credit card payment due date is mostly holder's responsibility. If you miss your credit card payment once you may have minor penalty, like late payment fee. But if you will do it for several times it may cost you alot, like reporting to colection beurau, and as a result decline in credit score!
So, be careful and always check your credit card dues!

Credit card companies get stricter about late or missed payments all the time. One year I missed three payments, not in a row, but close to each other. It was enough to call up the bank and give them some kind of reason to forgive me and fix the situation. It was long time ago, but we know it worked. Nowadays it’s much stricter and it would be nice to be pardoned if you miss your payment for the first time.

Well,
when you have many credit cards it is not easy to keep in mind all due dates Shocked
When I applied for my fifth credit card I decided to keep "no more late fees work sheet" !!!
I use this chart to keep track of my credit cards, due dates, payments and amounts owed. I make a copy for each of my cards.
Probably it will help you too to avoid late credit card payments.
