Bank of America Visa card offers Automatic Payment -
automatically deducts the amount from a corresponding checking account to pay the credit card account. I like this option because you don't have to think about transferring enough money to your credit card on time every month.
Question Do other credit cards / banks offer such option? If you have this information please share!

Dear creditmix,

As far as I know, this is pretty standard. Chase / Bank One do that, too. MBNA is a partner with CheckFree which is a bill paying service that provides similar functionality. And you can manage your credit card easily.

are you talking about checking accounts within the same bank as your credit card. they will do anything to keep your business, so they will let you make payments form a ckecing account as long as you open it with their bank. (unless of course you already have one) right?

Hi guys,
I never heard about automatic payments of credit cards. I know that Bank of America offer automatic payments feature for those who has a checking account with them...
I am not sure about Chase. I have both Bank of America and Chase credit cards, but I do not have automatic payments service!
If somebody know about it more, please share!

In my opinion, if a bank does not let you create automatic payments for a credit card account then screw this bank because there is no decent reason to deprive us, customers, of this feature. Lack of such an option is probably a sign that the institution is involved in a predator-like behavior and we should not be dealing with it.

Btw, Bank of America will give you this option. I’m paying from my checking account therefore I can’t tell you if you can use checking accounts from other banks to do the same thing.

Hi to evryone,
Atomatic payments of a credit card is a good topic. Some credit card users don't even know that their card bills can be payed automatically. However, not all of the credit card issuers may offer this very important feature. You'd better to choose a credit card from the bank that can do that, as DanV8 mentioned.
More likely, when you will create your account on the web site of your credit card, like Chase.com or Discover. com you will be offered to set your automatic payments from your checking account.

Take care.
